Some staff members are very unprofessional and rude when in contact over the phone. I reported it to one of the superior staff members as it is important to improve the health care team as a whole, and instead they went into hiding. I can only imagine how the residents must be getting treated by the staff if the staff behaves this way to the public. Giving the Jewish home of Rochester Rehab Facility one star is too much. My mother stayed at the rehab facility for a few weeks. She had to wait over an hour for someone to come in and help her get to the bathroom.

Dining rooms way too crowded and I can't believe that for safety purposes this is allowed. Way too many wheelchairs and walkers and no place to move around without tripping. All of that being said, some of the staff was very helpful, but I would look further before placing a relative or loved one there. I was told all of the "good" staff had transferred to the new Green Houses area, and this left the rehab short staffed. The meals were also just disgusting and not edible. I had to argue with nurses to allow me to take a shower each day. Administrators had an excuse for why the care was so bad but at the end of my stay, they still presented me with a hefty bill despite not receiving the care I had been promised in any way.
